The Healing Place truly is where hope is found. Every day, we provide food, shelter, clothing, and our nationally-recognized recovery program to nearly 1,000 men and women at no cost to the client. All a person has to have is a desire to get sober. We want there to be no barriers to recovery.
Our unique program allows us to operate at a cost of $40 per client per day. 90 cents of every dollar goes directly to fund program services.
We at The Healing Place are committed to maintaining a professional environment of respect, compassion, trust, honesty, opportunity, and diversity to help change lives. The Healing Place does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any activities or operations.
Where Change Happens
The Healing Place has grown into one of the most effective long-term social model recovery programs in the nation. Today, more than 6,000 men and women are living sober, productive lives and many have been reunited with their families because of our unique approach to recovery. The Healing Place model relies on the assistance and guidance of our alumni to supplement traditional approaches to recovery.
The Healing Place model has been replicated in 14 Recovery Kentucky facilities across the Commonwealth as well as in facilities located in Richmond, Virginia and Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Healing Place of New Hanover County – located in Wilmington, North Carolina – opened in May 2023.
